Incorporated in December 1997 as Zero Tolerance Valve Inc., the company was originally formed as a repair and service facility primarily for Suncor Energy. Since that time, in addition to Suncor, ZTS has broadened its customer base to include TransAlta Corporation, EnCana, Japan Canada Oil Sands (JACOS), Petrobank, and many others.
